This
Presidential Election could be decided by how
many Anti-Bush people register to vote.
We need every possible voter. Since voter registration
is rarely promoted, Topple Bush is organizing
a major drive to fill in this gap for both
partisan and non-partisan websites. We provide:
Cool
buttons and banners
in both partisan
and non-partisan
styles to add to your website with copy and
paste code like the two buttons pictured on the
left, voter
registration information, internet
links including state
links to valuable registration resources
so we can also help people register to vote. We
are encouraging other websites both anti-Bush
and non-partisan to join our effort. Let's
add new voters by spreading the word and working
together! Make sure you
let
us know when you add a button or banner,
and we will link back to you in our community
of online members.
Do
You Know About Internet Voter Registration?
Voter
Registration Facts:
1.
Current Address: You need to re-register
if you have moved. It's always necessary to be
registered at your current address.
2.
Seventeen going on Eighteen: If you are
17 now, but will by 18 by Election Day, November
2, 2004, you can register to vote now.
3.
Non Voters. If you have failed to vote
in your state's most recent general election (for
Governor or President), your name could have
been removed from the voter rolls for failing
to vote. This "purge" process will vary between
the states, but it remains a good idea to register
again if you have been a non-voter.
No
matter what state you live in, voter registration
is now very easy thanks to the internet. For most
states, you can fill out the voter registration
form online using Adobe Acrobat, print it, and
then mail the form in. Some states will have unique
rules.
Even
if you are already registered, the internet allows
you to conveniently register your friends, relatives,
housemates, and co-workers. You can become your
own Registrar of Voters and help defeat Bush.
If
you want to register to vote, please visit The
League of Women Voters or the Democratic
National Committee to obtain the most recent
and complete information on registering to vote
in your home state.
