On
March 30, 1967, The Beatles assembled to create
one of the most famous album covers in history.
The band painstakingly chose audience members
to watch the mythical "Sgt. Peppers Lonely Hearts
Club Band" play. Not surprisingly, the band
chose audience members and objects that appealed
to their interests and sensibilities. The artists
made life-sized cutouts of the individuals,
based on photographs.
On
March 30, 2006, not to be outdone, The Bushles
assembled to create some art of their own. George
Bush, Dick Cheney, Donald Rumsfeld, and Condoleezza
Rice painstakingly chose audience members to
watch the mythical "Sgt. Peckers Deadly Hearts
Club Band" play. Not surprisingly, they chose
audience members and objects that appealed to
their interests and sensibilities.
