British
performance artist Mark McGowan began his bid
to crawl for 72 hours across Manhattan on Thursday
wearing a suit and a George Bush mask, as well
as sporting a sign reading "Kick My Ass." He
began his odyssey from New York's Lincoln Center
he was hoping "his performance proves therapeutic
to the city's denizens." McGowan made his name
in Britain with a series of controversial acts
including a performance called "Dead Soldier"
where he dressed in army fatigues and lay in
the streets for a week. His latest act is part
of the Scope International Art Fair at the Lincoln
Centre performing arts complex.--taken from
